Wakefield’s Red Tent

What is the Red Tent?

The Red Tent movement is designed to give women a space in which to gather to focus their energies and connect to their inner sense of womanhood.

With its origins in biblical laws that once would have separated women from their communities during their menses, the Red Tent movement today celebrates women at all stages of their adult lives and offers a space to come together, to offer one another emotional support, and to provide a non-judgemental space in which to explore creativity, community, and connection.

Our Wakefield Red Tent has thrived since its inception around 2019, and it continues to help women across the District connect in a safe space where they are valued. We have a thriving community Facebook Page here.

If you would like to come along to a meeting, we hold our events at Westgate Chapel on the first Tuesday of every month.

Email us today if you’d like to find out more. We would love to see you and celebrate you there!
